Dear PAK Member,
Welcome to Protect Allergic Kids (PAK). You are now part of a support group created to raise food allergy awareness and to keep you informed on the latest developments.
PAK is a registered 501c(3) non-profit Food Allergy organization, and a registered charity with the State of New York. PAK has a medical advisor and advisory board. Membership is free, however, we ask members to volunteer on projects or donate money to PAK to fund our mission. Our mission is to raise awareness by educating the public on this growing epidemic. Food allergies have been on the rise over the past decade.
Please visit PAK's Calendar to learn more about our monthly meetings, special presentations at schools and libraries, monthly play groups and more. Our monthly meetings cover a range of food allergy topics such as cross contamination, alternative approaches, how to keep our kids safe in school and more. Every month we address a new topic and post Bulletins on our site. You will find that PAK offers invaluable resources, information and support. From free sample letters for school, allergy free recipes, to a Message Center designed to help answer questions or for you to share your story. We are also a great source for food vendors and allergy friendly books and magazines.
First and foremost, we are a support group that really cares about helping others who face the same challenges as us. You aren't in this alone. We want to keep kids safe everywhere. We are here to serve you.
Feel free to write to us with specific concerns or requests. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (631) 207-1681.
Sincerely,
Cristina Stainkamp
